Dear Parents and Carers
Further to the government’s announcement yesterday afternoon, regarding the relaxation of some covid restrictions, I would like to confirm these arrangements for us in school.
As of today, Thursday 20th January, students will no longer be required to wear a face covering in the classrooms and teaching spaces. They will, however, still need to be worn in communal spaces, this includes corridors, lining up for the galley, the library.
As of Thursday 27th January, face coverings will no longer be recommended in communal spaces.
We have a very small number of positive cases within our staff and student community currently and that enables me to support these changes with optimism.
Should we experience a rise in cases, please be aware that face coverings, along with other control measures (as per our CV19 Contingency Plan) could be reinstated in line with public health guidance and we would advise promptly should this be the case.
Thank you again for your continued support.
