Information regarding Enquiries about exam results and Access to scripts
After receiving your exam results, if there is a result you believe to be incorrect or which is unexpected, you can ask for a clerical check, a review of marking, or a copy of the marked paper. These are administered by the school exams office, who will put the request to the exam board on your behalf.
You need to be aware that a re-mark may result in your grade staying the same, being lowered or improving.
The fees involved will be discussed with you when you put in your request.
Important: If your university place is dependent upon a re-mark, it is important to put your request in promptly on the day which you receive your results.
Results Day and the Availability of Post Results Services
Members of teaching staff will be available to discuss results.
Access to scripts and the Re – marking of unit papers can be requested by students, following the receipt of their results, if they believe an error has occurred in the marking procedure.
Candidates (internal) must see the Exams Manager to complete the necessary paperwork and pay the exam board fee, before the request can be processed. Fees normally increase each year and a leaflet will be enclosed in the Y13 candidates’ results envelope and a poster displayed stating the deadline dates and fees for each examining board.
An Appeal policy is in place should candidates disagree with the Centre’s decision not to support an Enquiry about Results or an Appeal.
