The Year 10 football team marched into the quarter finals of the Devon County Cup with a convincing 6-0 will against a hard-working King College team. In a scrappy opening 10 minutes Lloyd made a fantastic save diving low to his left when their player look destined to score. From that point Plymstock took control of the game with some fantastic passages of play keeping the ball for long periods.
The first 2 goals came from long range efforts from Sam and Jack, then Harry finished neatly from a corner to give the side a 3-0 lead at half-time. The second half saw more of the same with the defence looking solid and Plymstock looking dangerous every time we attacked. Jack got his second goal of the game with a well taken finish before Charlie managed to score directly from a corner (it was possibly wind assisted!) the scoring ended with Jack getting his hat-trick and capping off a man-of-the-match performance (holding the match ball in the team photo).
In the next round the team will face the winners of Exmouth of Ulfculme.
Fantastic performance from everyone!!!
