Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you and your families are all well.
I have been doing some research into how best to support our young people with any anxieties or concerns they have around Covid-19 and the uncertainty it brings, and would like to recommend a free app that you or your child can download.
The app is called Think Ninja and explores the following:
- Fears relating to the virus
- Isolation struggles and how to stay connected to family and friends
- Worries about personal health and health of family members
- Mental strength
- Coping techniques to use during the crisis
- Plus many other helpful tips
It was developed by specialist child psychologists for students aged 10-18 and has been updated to include content about Covid-19. It is also a good resource to help with other worries or mental health problems and the app was designed to empower children and young people to build resilience, manage their emotional health and to fulfil their potential.
If you feel your child would benefit from the app, please visit https://www.healios.org.uk/services/thinkninja1 to find out more and download it.
Please get in touch if you have any feedback about the app. I have tried it myself and feel it will be very beneficial to a lot of our students.
Best wishes,
Tamsin Summers
