Dear Parent / Carer
As you are clearly aware, the school is closed from Monday 23 March except for children whose parents count as key workers and children who are vulnerable. Yesterday evening, the government published the list of those workers that would count as key workers. The guidance clearly states that parents are to keep their children at home wherever possible and school will remain open only for those children who absolutely have to attend. The fewer children making the journey to school, and the fewer children in educational settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in the wider community.
The full guidance including who is classed as key workers is available here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision
It is vital we are aware of all students who are planning to attend school on Monday for safeguarding registers and planning.
Please can you spend 2 minutes completing the google form available here: Plymstock School – Key Workers. Should you have any difficulties completing the attached form, please contact us at the school on 01752 495002 or email jcrookston@plymstockschool.org.uk.
Please could you contact the school as soon as possible, the telephone line will be open until 4pm today. The form and email address will be available until midday tomorrow (Saturday 20 March).
Many thanks for your continued support.
