The proper place for your child to be to be on a school day is at school.
If they are not in school then they must have a justifiable reason and you should telephone the school office on the first day of the absence, and each subsequent day.
The telephone number is 01752 402679.
You should always send your child with a written note addressed to the Tutor explaining the absence when they return to school.
Plymstock School operates the ‘Truancy Call’ system. If your child is absent from school without parental contact you will receive an automated call to inform you of this.
Parents are requested not to arrange family holidays during term time. If this is unavoidable, requests for leave of absence should be made in writing well in advance of the date. Only in exceptional circumstances will the school authorise a holiday during term time.
